The Gibsonville Museum & Historical Society, Inc (GMHSI) was established in 2009 to promote public knowledge of local, state, and national history (with an emphasis on the history of Gibsonville). The GMHSI is a non-profit, member funded, 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.
The GMHSI is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, as outlined below in alphabetical order:
- Jessica Arnold. Mrs. Arnold is also Gibsonville's Library Director.
- Sean Dowell, Publications. Mr. Dowell is a commercial real estate broker, principal of Dowell Commercial Realty, and active in historic rehab across NC. Sean is Gibsonville's representation on the Guilford County Historic Preservation Commission (2018 - present).
- Susan Ezekiel, Treasurer. Mrs. Ezekiel is a retired, named partner of Cobb, Ezekiel, & Loy.
- Deleno Flynn, President. Mr. Flynn is a former Town Manager of Gibsonville. At 16 years, he is the second longest serving town manager in Gibsonville's history.
- Edna Jo Hackett, Docents.
- Howard Hendricks, Curator.
- "Boyce" Johnson, At Large.
- Anne Manuli, Secretary.
- Stephen McClain, At Large.
- Sandra Moulton. Membership. Mrs. Moulton is a prior Gibsonville Alderman and interim Mayor.
- Jerry S. Nix, Active throughout his life in historic causes, Mr. Nix is also a prior Chairman of the Guilford County Historic Preservation Commission and a prior Preservation North Carolina Board of Directors member.
- Karen York, Projects. Mrs. York is a professional photographer and also owner of York's Photography Studios
- Lethe Yow Walters, Docents.
